Painting Tuesdays: 12:30 - 3:30, September 24 to December 3 for $445.00 This is a directed studio class where we will explore and reveal the potential in your ideas! Through organizing shapes with attention to light and shadow, make thoughtful compositions. Balancing your emotional depth with technical skill is the key to creating art with impact. Learn how to transcend the snapshot and create a painting that has both artistic merit and deeper meaning.
This is a project-based class dedicated to black and white. All drawings will be from direct observation.
The studio is a well-lit and fully equipped space with the entrance at street level. You can expect solid instruction along with an inspiring and friendly atmosphere. Instruction is in acrylic, pastel, or solvent-free oil. Please no turpentine or alkyds, though a touch of Gamsol in a covered container is permitted.
There will be plenty of one on one coaching in a small class setting.
For painting classes: bring a fresh idea and a photo reference to the first class. Check your kit to make sure your art supplies and palettes are refreshed and all together. Supply list is available with registration.
